It's Noosa’s first coffee festival - it's time to celebrate the coffee bean at the Noosa Junction Java Festival this Saturday 19 May!
Wander through Noosa Junction in Noosa Heads and taste, smell, savour and learn all about the little black bean with cafes, coffee shops, bars and others joining in with workshops, tastings, treats, happy hours and more.
Learn the secrets to your favourite brew and journey to the source with roasters as you sip, sample and test your skills at free coffee-indulging workshops. Registration is essential and spaces are limited:
8-8.30am: COLD PRESS COFFEE with hot tips on cold brew at Waterpistols Surfboards
8.45-9.15am: LATTE ART - THE FUNDAMENTALS. Learn basic patterns and see an expert in action at Noosa Hot Bread Shop
9.30-10am: ART TO MAKING THE PERFECT COFFEE SHOT. The fundamentals of pulling the perfect shot at Cactus Lane
10.15-10.45am: HEATING & FOAMING - SECRETS TO PERFECT MILK with top tips to achieving perfect milk every time, at Padstows
11-11.30am: FROM GREEN BEAN TO BREW. The journey to Quenchers-Espresso Bar & Juicery's own blend
11.45am-12.15pm SWEET TUNES TO BREW BY. Guitars and coffee - the perfect blend at Walton Guitars.
There are also Java Fest Espresso Happy Hours at Junction bars including Bombetta Restaurant & Bar (from 3pm), Cornerstone Pub (from 4pm), Montezuma's Mexican Restaurant & Bar (from 4pm), ZZ Taps (from 4pm) and Village Bicycle (from 4pm).
And try Java Fest Treats at other Noosa Junction stores including chococoffee combo dark chocolate coated espresso beans from The Source Bulk Foods, traditional Turkish coffee at Gifts of Art, and more.
The Junction also hosts the Junction Flava Twilight Market, a free fringe event of Noosa Food & Wine this Friday 18 May in Arcadia Street, Noosa Heads with street food from around the globe, live music from Suga Owens, Bel's Belly Dance, a pop-up bar, Turkish treats from Turkish Gifts of Art Store's pop-up market stall, art, fashion and artisan stalls. Open from 5-9pm.
