Who says a wedding has to be only one day of fun? If you and your loved ones are making the trip to Noosa, extend the party with a next-day recovery (it would be rude not to, really). There might be a few sore heads and sore feet in the group, but we’ve put together an itinerary for a post-wedding day out that will keep the good times rolling.
Soothe sore heads and weary feet with a long, slow brunch. If you’re a smaller crew, head to Aromas Noosa for brunch in the sunshine, while you reminisce about the day gone by. For a larger group, a caterer like The Ohana Group can do the hard work for you with an open-air celebration by the Noosa River or Noosa Main Beach. Or Noosa Picnics will bring the décor, food, and drinks to your own private picnic spot, for an intimate soiree table picnic of up to 40 guests.
At the Noosa River Foreshore, talk to the friendly folks at O Boat Hire or Pelican Boat Hire to organise your very own floating party boat. These self-drive pontoon boats are easy to maneuver (no boat license required) and come equipped with BBQs on board. Take in the views of the river, pull up anchor for a swim, throw in a fishing line, or just enjoy the ride.
Hang out with the locals at Tewantin Noosa Bowls Club. Kick off your shoes (those dancing feet will appreciate it) and hit the lawn for a laidback game of bowls in the sunshine. This welcoming local club also dishes out pub-style classics from their bistro – the perfect post-wedding fix.
Keep the party going with the Catalina Noosa, aboard their famed Saltwater Sunday cruise. This luxury floating venue sails the Noosa River up to Lake Cooroibah, with a soundscape of tunes from the best national DJs. Grab a cocktail from one of the two bars and relax on the top deck for stunning sunset views or, if you’ve still got it in you, hit the dancefloor and dance the night away under the stars with your crew. Alternatively, why not hire out the whole boat for a truly decadent post-wedding recovery experience?
