Jimmy and Tam, best known for winning The Block 2020, have recently decided to make Noosa their home. After falling in love with all that Noosa has to offer, Jimmy and Tam have shared with us their top tips on what to do in Noosa!
The relaxed laid-back lifestyle. When you drive into Noosa it feels like all the weight of the world has been lifted off your shoulders. We lead very busy lives and having a home in such a tranquil and Zen area makes us feel grounded. Some of Tams family are in Noosa too, so that was a draw card to be closer to them.
With so many amazing places to eat in Noosa, it’s really hard to pick just one! But we would have to say The Pomona Distilling Co. It has such a great vibe and the food is always incredible, not to mention the amazing cocktail menu! Quite often there is live music which gives it a really relaxed and fun atmosphere
We love exploring and going for walks with our dogs Archie and Belle. The Noosa River along Gympie Tce is the perfect place to go for a walk with the dogs. There are some great coffee shops along the way, or we stop and get some ice cream and watch the pelicans.
Food: Zumbo Test has the most delicious deserts you have ever tasted!
Homewares: Velzy Lane is a gorgeous homewares shop in Pomona that sells a lot of locally made products.
Accommodation: Mayan Farm (Kin Kin) has Bespoke Luxury Accomodation that will blow your mind!
Interior styling and vintage clothing: El Badi has one-off vintage and global homewares, furniture and clothing.
Distillery: 2020 Distillery has a great vibe with awesome drinks!
The Sunshine Butterflies Walk in Wings event is a 1.5km walk to help raise awareness and celebrate people of all abilities held at Noosaville along the Noosa River. Everyone gets dressed up in purple and wings. It truly is a special event.
Also, the Noosa Eat and Drink Festival is definitely an event not to be missed!
There is so much more to Noosa than just Hasting St (as wonderful as it is). Venture into the hinterland! There is so much to discover.
When friends visit, we always hit the markets, whether it’s The Eumundi Markets, Noosa Farmers Markets, or The Pomona Markets there is lots of amazing local goodies to buy.
Breakfast - Markets - Bush walk - Swim - Shop - Dinner - REPEAT!
We are currently renovating and I’m sure there will be plenty more renovating on the cards. We also have some more TV shows that we are involved with. These include Renovate or Rebuild and Open Homes Australia which we love being a part of. We also have our own Plumbing Business that we have just started!
We are always looking for fun adventures so who knows what the future will hold?
