Surfing legends, old guys, gals, tandem surfers, and even dogs make Noosa Main Beach their home for the festival. Some refer to it as “8 days of pure stoke”, “a party on the beach” and “a celebration of the spirit of surfing”, but no matter what you call it, the Noosa Festival of Surfing holds a special spot in the hearts of surfers and locals alike!
8 - 17 March, 12 - 9pm daily, Noosa Main Beach
Toes-in-the-sand beach bar goodness doesn't come any better than the Noosa Beach Bar - open under the teepee on the sand of Main Beach every day during the Noosa Festival of Surfing - and it's completely free to enter. Soak up the atmosphere with a cocktail in hand, and a snack from the bar, and take in surfing heats, live music, and share the stoke all weekend long!
8 - 17 March, 7am - 4pm daily, Noosa Main Beach
Every day during the festival, catch the best surfing action from 7am - 4pm daily, in a variety of categories including juniors, families, logger pro, old mal, and the beloved dog surfing - just to name a few! Most of the action takes place at First Point, with some heats moving to neighbouring breaks depending on conditions.
10 March, 8 - 10am, The Reef Noosa
A meet and greet breakfast after the dog surfing event on Sunday the 10th March at the Noosa Reef Hotel, where you can hang out with the furry friends of the beloved Dog Surfing event, and meet the trainers and owners! There's a full breaky on offer ($35 adults / $20 kids), as well as a Vetshop speaker and master of ceremonies, with limited tickets available.
8 March, 6 - 10pm, The J Noosa
The Noosa International Surfilm Festival is presenting the Australian Premiere of Birth of the Endless Summer, a new, full-length feature documentary detailing the genesis of what would become the most influential surf movie of all time. Screening at The J Noosa, with doors and bar open at 6 pm, some chill time with live tunes, followed by a screening of this award-winning feature film. Tom Wegener will be hosting the screening Q&A with USA film director Richard Yelland.
12 March, from 3.30pm, Noosa Main Beach
Come together with other surfers of all descriptions, from Noosa and beyond, on this day designed to break down the barriers between surfers of different kinds, to bring the surfing community together as one.
Thomas Surfboards Film Festival & Live Bands

The annual Thomas Surfboards Party is back again in 2024 - but with a twist! The team has been working hard on a film which will screen exclusively at Thomas headquarters followed by a great night of live bands. If you have never been to a Thomas Surfboards event before, get there early to get in for this 18+ event - and start the Festival off with a bang!
