What to do
Noosa’s tracks and trails have received a positive boost with the delivery of the Noosa Trail Masterplan, a working plan for improving and upgrading the Noosa Trail Network. The masterplan covers a diverse range of eight scenic trails and over 130 kilometres within the Noosa Biosphere Reserve including national park, state forest, private property, parks and road reserves. These trails provide a wonderful experience through the Noosa hinterland for walking, bike riding and horse riding.
A joint project between Tourism Noosa, the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation, Noosa Council and Noosa & District Landcare, the plan identifies areas where sustainable trails can be developed, linking them for a more cohesive trail experience. Tourism Noosa led the development of the plan, in consultation with more than 40 community and trader groups.
Noosa has a vision to become a vibrant destination for outdoor active recreation and the upgrade suggestions delivered in the plan will provide an enhanced experience for active travellers while immersing visitors in the Noosa hinterland.
Tourism Noosa launched the Refresh Noosa program in 2018 to help ensure that as a destination, we continue to offer a high-quality experience for visitors. Through the program, Tourism Noosa and our Refresh Noosa partners support accommodation managers and their owners, as well as other businesses, by offering services and special offers to update, renovate and refresh their properties. The program is also focused on encouraging operators to adopt environmentally sustainable practices.
Refresh Noosa engages the wider Noosa community as local trades, businesses and services work with our members to offer high-quality goods and services and unique member pricing to further encourage reinvestment.
Refresh Noosa won the 2018 Queensland Tourism Industry Council Prize for Innovation in Tourism.
Please contact the Tourism Noosa team at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to find out more about becoming part of this project.
