The Rattler, a steam locomotive with gorgeous timber carriages, winds throughout the picturesque mountains, farms, bridges and waterways of the Mary Valley.
Starting from the lovingly refurbished Historic Gympie Station, just 40 minutes from Noosa, hop on-board the Rattler for a journey through country towns and an adventure into history. The 46km round trip chugs into Amamoor, a gorgeous town in the heart of the Mary Valley.

Steam train experiences depart once a day on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. You can even travel in style in the VIP Club Car with a local cheese plate and beverage of choice. There’s also the Rattler Tasting Train, a celebration of local food and produce on-board a historic rail motor on Thursdays.
