Since its inception in 1991, Noosa & District Landcare has been operating as a not for profit organisation.
Now, with over 30 years’ experience in vegetation management and horticulture, we provide a diverse range of services including a dedicated retail outlet, wholesale nursery and native plant propagation, carbon offsets and native forest establishment, ecosystem restoration, and environmental property consultancy.
Our strong environmental ethic and ability to deliver quality results, from project proposal through to implementation, post-plant maintenance, survey and monitoring, is widely recognised.
We work directly with landholders, local, state and federal government, private investors, schools, universities and catchment care groups in the Burnett, Mary and Sunshine Coast regions. We deliver presentations and workshops both locally and interstate.
Whilst operating primarily at a grass roots level, Noosa & District Landcare also contributes at a strategic planning level on matters of state and national significance.
A large feature of Noosa Landcare is our integration of training and education into everything we do by providing on-the-job support, vocational and technical training, and community capacity building through workshops, events and communications.
