Tewantin National Park

Tewantin National Park encompasses Mount Tinbeerwah and Wooroi day use aread and is only about 15 minutes from Noosa Heads. The National Park is home to protected areas of rainforest, open eucalypt forest and remnants of wallum heath that provide important refuge for native wildlife including echidnas, koalas, swamp wallabies and wallum froglets.

Birdwatchers will hear the calls of countless species including the characteristic eastern whip bird and vulnerable glossy black cockatoo.

For spectacular views and amazing sunsets, visit Mount Tinbeerwah, situated 265m above sea level. The mountain is a volcanic plug remaining from volcanic activity millions of years ago.

Wooroi day use area is a natural retreat to enjoy a picnic, hike, mountain bike ride or horse ride on allocated trails.
