Join visiting teacher Ben Winspear on a small group paint-out in our beautiful local landscape. Experience the dynamic process of painting outdoors, working directly from nature, focusing on observation of specific details. A sensory and emotional connection to the scene you’re representing will give your painting a wonderful sense of intimacy and informality.
Ben is a long-time ‘en plein air’ painter and will guide you through all the steps in a preliminary talk before we set up together as a group and move through a number of studies. The camaraderie of painting as a group is another aspect of this lovely experience!
Our stunning location has public conveniences and large shady areas to work in. We’ll all enjoy a morning tea with the whistling kettle – BYO mug and camp chair (though there are picnic benches to sit at). BYO sandwiches for lunch!
