Sunshine Butterflies Celebrates New Kubota Vehicle Thanks to Generous Community Support

17 Mar 2025

Sunshine Butterflies has proudly celebrated the success of its recent ‘Farmers Want a Kubota’ fundraiser, which has led to the purchase of a brand-new Kubota vehicle to support the charity’s ‘Farmability’ program and Farmyard team.

To mark the occasion, Sunshine Butterflies welcomed some of the campaign’s major supporters to its 15-acre disability support and community facility, ‘Our Backyard’, for a morning tea prepared by participants in the organisation’s Supported Employment and Pantry program.

Among the special guests were representatives and contributors from: • Smile for a Child Foundation • Team Body Corporate • Steve and Veronica Whitter, members of the Tewantin Lions Club • Bernie Benson • The Coffee Noosa • Maroochy RSL

Guests were treated to a warm Sunshine Butterflies welcome, with the opportunity to connect with members and staff in the ‘Farmability’ program and learn more about how the new Kubota vehicle is already making a meaningful impact.

Sunshine Butterflies CEO and founder Leanne Walsh said: “This new vehicle has helped our ‘Farmability’ program and Farmyard staff by alleviating physical strain and improving efficiency.”

The new addition is already transforming day-to-day operations for the team, enabling them to work more comfortably, safely and effectively across the property.

Farmability coordinator Leesa Brooder said: “We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to the purchase of our new Kubota vehicle. We’ve been able to achieve an incredible amount of work thanks to this vehicle.”

Sunshine Butterflies would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to every individual who supported the campaign - your contribution no matter how big or small made this valuable addition possible.
