Noosa Springs Golf Course celebrates its 25-year anniversary on 9 May 2024.

Once the site of a quarter horse stud, by 1992, Weyba Ranch had fallen into receivership and Noosa architect and developer Alan Starkey bought the 103ha property with thoughts of creating a first-class residential development around an impressive golf course.

The property was known as Noosa Springs because of the natural, freshwater springs onsite.

Plans for the beautiful, par 72, 6230m championship golf course, incorporating a network of nearly 10ha of freshwater lakes fed by natural springs, were originally prepared by developer Alan Starkey and handed over to Graham Papworth for the final design.

Noosa Springs' 7th Hole 25 years ago, and today.

Noosa Springs Golf Course opened on Mother’s Day 1999 with 21 team members. The facilities and Noosa Springs were far less impressive than they are today - just three temporary, transportable, single-room buildings (or dongas) which housed the golf, locker room and catering functions.

Over the next 25 years, Noosa Springs grew and developed, and the golf course matured into one of the finest resort-style layouts in Australia. Now, thousands of visitors make their way to Noosa Springs each year, many taking the opportunity to stay over and enjoy the resort’s facilities.

Today Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort comprises an 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course that is a member of Great Golf Courses of Australia’s Premier Tier; a highly rated day spa with Hydro-Massage pool; superb dining focusing on fresh and local produce; spacious, self-contained one and two-bedroom apartments; a fitness centre; 25m pool; tennis courts; a boutique Golf Shop; and conference, event and wedding facilities.

Just 3km from Hastings Street, the resort is open everyday to everyone.

To celebrate there will be 25% off Golf Shop merchandise* on Friday 10 May from 6am - 6pm.
