Visitors spent a record $1.74B in Noosa in the year ending June 2023, according to National Visitor Survey data released by Tourism Research Australia.
This was 51% higher than last year and was thanks to:
• Record domestic overnight spend for the year ending June reporting period of $1.595B, and
• All-time record day-trip spend of $144.5M.
Domestic overnight visitor numbers of 971,000 were down slightly on last year, although higher-spending interstate visitors returned with record spend of $969M, more than double since last year, and increasing nights almost 10%.
