All South East Queensland beaches (including Rainbow Beach to Noosa, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast) remain closed until further notice, due to hazardous surf and swell – everyone is urged to stay out of the water. Queensland Surf Life Saving Queensland.

The Noosa Visitor Information Centre in Hastings Street will be closed from Thursday 6 until Sunday 9 March. The Centre will re-open on Monday 10 March, if it is safe to do so. Staff will be available by phone during this time - please call 07 5430 5000.
Noosa Council has opened Noosa Leisure Centre, at 9 Wallace Drive Noosaville, as a place of refuge for residents and visitors who have no other place to go during Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Pets are welcome but leads or cages are required to keep them contained.
The Leisure Centre will operate 24/7 until no longer required.
